Yesterday we met a young girl that was in a wheelchair.
It sparked all sorts of memories for the kids.
Questions.
Grief comes in unexpected ways and at inconvenient times. But it will always come.
So many run from grief, they tuck it away and never feel it.
Places are avoided. Memories pushed down.
I am learning that if you allow yourself to feel all of it, embrace the inconvenience then you come out better for it.
This is what my kids are starting to learn, how grief will rise up in us and we have to recognize it, talk through it and remember that grief is love...not anger.
